Up Close With the StoneGate Regional Dietitians

What does a group of StoneGate Regional Dietitians discuss behind closed doors?

Yesterday, February 22, 2021, they discussed each facility’s Nutrition Services preparedness following last week’s snow, ice and freezing temps.  We’re pleased to share that our facilities were prepared with an emergency supply of food, water and supplies.

“We’re pleased to share that our facilities were prepared with an emergency supply of food, water and supplies.”

They also discussed upcoming #NationalNutritionMonth events that will be occurring in our facilities and management office throughout the month of March.  Additional topics covered include:

  • Updates to our Nutrition Services Manager Orientation, an orientation that aids in the success of the Nutrition Services Managers we employee at our facilities.
  • A new food ordering process that will create increased efficiencies for our managers when placing orders for the facilities.
  • How the resident meal selection process is going paperless — resident meal orders will be taken bedside or tableside using a tablet, eliminating the need for a paper menu.
  • An infection control practice while also going “green”.
  • Weight loss prevention as it relates to the pandemic’s impact on our residents.
